WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO

Powerful Media Ltd is a publishing and media consultancy firm that was incorporated at the end of 2007.

We undertake a broad range of services and have recently launched our well-received 128-page, quality magazine, The Powerlist: Britain’s 100 most influential black people, which, as the title implies, profiles 100 people of African, Caribbean or African American heritage who either live in Britain or are British citizens living anywhere in the world. They were chosen for the list by an independent panel.

The Powerlist has the widest single-issue circulation of any black-oriented publication in Britain and will be read by almost 100,000 people. It is the only such publication specifically targeted at an ABC1 demographic. And the only one that reaches a significant number of non-black readers, many of whom are key influencers. Plans are already in place to make next year’s Powerlist bigger, better and even more widely distributed.

Also next year we will be publishing a magazine aimed at final-year graduates-to-be that is written and edited by students. It will give companies a chance to display what they have to offer to young people about to embark on their career journey.

The magazine, which we will distribute free to campuses across the country, will primarily target minority ethnic students. Our comprehensive database means we will be able to get to at least 80 per cent of them.
